James’s graduate research focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of and developing treatments for human pulmonary pathologies. During law school, James worked with Ecolab gaining experience in domestic patent preparation/prosecution concerning chemical coating technologies, detergents, and food treatment methods. James gained further experience in foreign patent preparation/prosecution in the chemical, electrical, and mechanical arts while serving as an Intellectual Property Law Apprentice through William Mitchell’s Apprenticeship program. After graduating law school, James worked on Hatch-Waxman ANDA litigation, medical device patent infringement litigation, mechanical device infringement litigation, and patent preparation involving microbial soil amendments for agricultural applications.
