With a Bachelor’s Degree in Genetics and Cell Biology from The University of Minnesota (2005), Molly worked as an Assistant Scientist at the University of Minnesota.  Molly’s exposure and interest in scientific discovery inspired her to pursue a Master of Science in Patent Law from the of Minnesota Law School (2017). As a scientist she worked technologies such as bacterial pathogenesis, mulit-locus sequence typing, cDNA synthesis, protein synthesis, bioinformatics, ELISpot analysis, ELISA, prophage and bacterial genomics, and Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification.  While in her position at the U of M, she co-authored publications related to whole bacteria genome sequencing, comparative genome sequencing, and presented her work nationally and internationally.
