AGRIBUSINESS

Agribusiness is the business of agricultural production in industrialized countries. Agribusiness includes the use of advanced technology and can involve agrichemicals, breeding, crop production, distribution, farm machinery, processing, and seed supply, as well as marketing and retail sales.   

Banking, Insurance & Finance technology includes areas of banking insurance and finance products; fixed, mobile device, phone, and in-person customer interaction, information storage and backup; data mining, among many other areas. 

Chemical Technology utilizes physical science and mathematics to process the converting of raw materials into more useful or valuable forms. Chemical technology can also refer to research and development to pioneer new materials and processing techniques. 

Communications Technology also known as information technology, refers to all equipment and programs that are used to process and communicate information. Professionals in the communication technology field specialize in the development, installation, and service of these hardware and software systems. 

Computer Art is any art in which computers play a role in production or display of the artwork. Such art can be an image, sound, animation, video, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, video game, website, algorithm, performance or gallery installation. 

Construction Technology includes the methods and equipment used to build structures. Such methods and equipment can include design, budgeting, or job planning software; equipment or tools used in the construction industry; and building designs, innovative building features, and products used in construction. 

Device Fabrication is the process used to create the integrated circuits that are present in everyday electrical and electronic devices. It is a multiple-step sequence of photolithographic and chemical processing steps during which electronic circuits are gradually created on a wafer made of pure semiconducting material. 

Energy Technology includes traditional forms of power, such as coal, oil, nuclear, and natural gas and alternative energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric, chemical, replenishable (sustainable forestation, power from bio-materials), and solar. Energy technology also encompasses conversion from one energy type to another (e.g., solar to electrical) and storage of energy, such as short term and long term battery storage. 

Healthcare Technology includes wellness, preventative, and general healthcare methods, software, and products. Examples of healthcare technology areas include fixed or mobile systems to monitor a patient’s health; healthcare treatment planning method, systems, and devices; health monitoring equipment; and healthcare related consumer products. 

Life Sciences comprise the fields of science that involve the scientific study of living organisms, such as microorganisms, plants, animals, and human beings.  Technologies include general biology, molecular biology, biotechnology, zoology, botany, anatomy, genetics, bio-engineering, and neuroscience.    

Oil & Gas Technology include the processes of exploration, extraction, refining, and transporting (e.g., by oil tankers, tanker trucks, and pipelines), and the production of products from raw materials.   

Transportation is the movement of humans, animals and goods from one location to another. In other words the action of transport is defined as a particular movement of an organism or thing from a point A to a Point B. Modes of transport include air, land, water, cable, pipeline and space.
